Meet the real “Ultraman”!

written by Radhika Sharma February 22, 2017

While the whole world was praising handsome and dashing Milind Soman for his “Ultraman” Marathon victory in the USA, someone actually beat him to it.

Meet Kaustubh Radkar- a swimmer from Pune who has finished the coveted Ironman a whopping 16 times and also the “Ultraman” much, MUCH before Mr Soman. Not only that, he beat Soman’s record of 34 hours and 46 mins, Kaustubh did it in 31 hours, 29 mins and 59 secs. WHAT A MAN!

“When the dreams you’re dreamin’ come to you, When the work you put in is realized, Let yourself feel the pride but, Always stay humble and kind….” ~ Tim Mcgraw. He has been winning IRONMANs since 2008- the first one in Africa, where he finished with a smashing 11 hrs 41 mins and 36 secs, the fastest debut for an Indian.

Even if you have with plenty of ups and downs for 3 day, the Indian flag will make you find energy to jump. Ultraman Florida done with overall time of 31:29:59. Couldn’t have done this without help of my crew my cousin Sampada Kanade Coster, Brandon Willingham who helped two days, tom tom who was a god send today otherwise my day would have been even bigger disaster. Also my friend Devendra Ghatpande came and helped yesterday with his family. Congrats also to other indians who finished in this order prithviraj patil, manmadh rebba, abhsihek mishra and milind soman who all finished. I will be writing a blog of each day but today its time to soak in the feeling of being an Ultraman finisher. “Hari Om Namaste Ganapataye….” “Jai jai he omkara.” @radstrongcoaching has produced Indias fastest and Punes first Ultraman!
