This is one for the history books folks. A broken, smashed up iPhone 4S is selling on the popular classifieds site eBay for a whopping amount of Rs 1 crore. Yup. It is. #truestory.
Why though? The user claims it a special “Steve Jobs Edition Phone” , it pays tribute to visionary of Apple. Apparently only 56 phones were made to honor him and his memory.
Look at the back closely and you’ll see that the logo is different with a silhouette of Jobs’s iconic glasses. This logo is extremely popular, IS NOT AN OFFICIAL APPLE RELEASE and was designed by Jonathan Mak. It has been used to create a giant number of fake merchandise since then.
Yahoo reports that a company Goldgenie decided to make a iPhone 4S edition at the time of its release and made only 56 pieces. Is this the same one? The report also suggests that the current one on eBay is fake as the Goldgenie version had “fake limited edition” written on its back.
So this one is obviously fake. Come on come on, let’s return to our lives. Nothing more to see here.
