Don’t lie, we have all read at least one of those seedy romance novels in our lives. You may be reading fancy literature now, but back in the day- nothing rocked your boat more than a good ol Mills n Boons flick. It had the perfect mix of sex, intrigue, romance and #love. And the one thing that separated one book from the other? Those awful pictures on the cover! They always looked like angels had painted them with a sort of halo glow around them. It looked steamy right from the get go. It will more than ever have a woman with an expression that she is oh-so-aroused by the man with the eyes of passion. Frankly, they look totally non realistic! Who looks like that in real life?
NO ONE. And that’s why Lorraine Heath is making them funny! Photographer and photo editor Kathleen Kamphausen decided to tone it down, though, and in the most hilarious way possible. She recreated some of the most passionate front covers on shelves using Average Joes instead of Fabios, and they pretty much look like most of us trying to be seductive on any given day.
